What is Iyengar yoga?
Iyengar Yoga is a progressive approach of teaching, helping the student to develop mobility, stability, strength and body alignment. The in-depth approach in each posture develops body and breath awareness. In all its diverse and dynamic aspects, Iyengar yoga method addresses the union [the word “union” is the literal translation of the word “yoga”] of the mind, the body and the breath. As the students become more familiar with the practice, their understanding deepens and they truly experience the concept of being part of the practice and the practice becoming part of them.
